LifeSafe Holdings plc (also referred to in this privacy policy as “we”, “us”, “our”, or “ourselves”) protect the personal data of individuals (also referred to in this privacy policy as “users”, “you”, or “your”) in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and adhere to the principles of providing you with clear information as to:

  • What personal data we collect;

  • How we process this data, and the reasoning behind this processing;

  • Your rights as a data subject;

  • How your data is stored and kept secure;

  • Details regarding our cookies policy; and

  • Details of how you can contact us in the case of any enquiries.

This privacy policy explains how we use your personal data in connection with your use of our site lifesafeholdingsplc.com.

Our site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

Section 2 – Your obligations, and the right to withdraw consent

By agreeing to this privacy policy, you confirm that you agree with its contents. Agreeing with this privacy policy is a prerequisite of using our site and any services available from our site. If you disagree with any section of this privacy policy, you should not attempt to use our site or the services available from our site.

If at any time you wish to withdraw your consent for us to process your data in the manner explained in this privacy policy, please notify the Data Protection Officer using the contact details in Section 1. The Data Protection Officer will action your request for no further processing to take place, but please be advised that some data may be retained if there is a legal basis for doing so, and that withdrawal of consent will not have any effect on the lawfulness of any processing completed with your consent prior to the withdrawal of that consent.

Section 3 – Personal data which we collect from You

In the course of your relationship with LifeSafe Holdings plc, we acquire and store technical data including your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other information about the devices you use to access our site (“Technical Data”) and usage data including information about how your use our site (“Usage Data”).

We also acquire and store certain personal data where you subscribe to our investor alert service, which includes your name and contact details.

Section 4 – How do we obtain your personal data?

As you interact with our site, we will automatically collect the Technical Data and Usage Data about your equipment, browsing action and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies and other similar technologies.

Any other personal data is collected from you such as where you subscribe to our investor alert service.

Section 5 – How and why we process your personal data

We process your personal data in the following fashions:

Section 6 – Personal data which we share with others

We may share your personal data with certain service providers to allow us to deliver our site and services and to better understand the use of our site. It is your responsibility to review any additional privacy policies that apply to the use of your personal data by such service providers.

We may transfer your personal data to organisations outside the UK and EEA. Where we do, we will ensure the transfer is to a country deemed to provide adequate protection for personal data or we will put appropriate safeguards in place as required by data protection laws.

Section 7 – Deletion timeframes, and your right to deletion

LifeSafe Holdings plc will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship to you.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

Our standard data retention periods are as follows:

  • Technical Data: twelve months from the date you last access our site;

  • Usage Data: twelve months from the date you last access our site;

  • Contact details for the investor alert service: for the duration of your subscription to the service.

If you wish for your data to be deleted at any point sooner than these stated timeframes, please contact the Data Protection Officer through the contact details in Section 1. The Data Protection Officer will review what personal data we hold about you, and delete the data as required by applicable law. If there is a legal basis for retaining the data, you will be contacted by the Data Protection Officer within one calendar month confirming the legal reasoning as to why the data has not been removed.

Section 8 – Your rights as a data subject

On request, LifeSafe Holdings plc will inform you as to what (if any) personal data we hold regarding you. You have the right to access the information which we hold about you as well as details of how we process this data through the submission of a Subject Access Request (“SAR”). In order to submit a SAR, please contact the Data Protection Officer through the contact details in Section 1 of this privacy policy, and include your full name, address, contact telephone number, and specifics of any exact data which you wish to request.

Requested information will be provided within one calendar month from the SAR being received by LifeSafe Holdings plc. If for any reason LifeSafe Holdings plc cannot meet this deadline (for example, if the requests made are numerous and complex), you will be informed of this within the initial one month window, with an explanation as to why the data has not yet been provided, along with an estimation of when the data will be collated and prepared for sending to you.

No charge is applied to a SAR, however, in the event of requests being manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive in nature, LifeSafe Holdings plc may charge a reasonable fee to complete the SAR. This fee will be based on the administrative costs incurred in providing the requested information..

In addition to the right to access your information, under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

  • Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.

  • Request erasure of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).

  • Object to processing of your personal information where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground.

  • Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.

  • Request the transfer of your personal information to another party.

If you want to review, verify, correct or request erasure of your personal information, object to the processing of your personal data, or request that we transfer a copy of your personal information to another party, please contact the Data Protection Officer through the contact details in Section 1 of this privacy policy.

If you are in any way dissatisfied with how LifeSafe Holdings plc has handled your personal data, and are dissatisfied with your response from us after exercising any of your data subject rights or have any other concern with ourselves, you have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk.

Section 10 – How we store and protect your data

The personal data which you submit to LifeSafe Holdings plc is stored on servers based in the United Kingdom, and in compliance with the standard outlined in the information security standards of ISO/IEC 27001.

Section 11 – Cookies

Whenever a change is made to this privacy policy which will affect your rights as a data subject, or change the intended processing purposes, then you will be notified directly and asked to agree to the new privacy policy. If you disagree with the changes made to this privacy policy, you retain the right to withdraw consent for future processing (see Section 2 of this privacy policy).
